Currently,
we are working on obtaining qualitative and quantitative results from surveys
we have administered to the students we serve on the issues of bullying,
self-esteem, healthy relationships, teen dating violence, authority, and
friendships. These surveys consist of cross-sectional and longitudinal
studies. The cross-sectional study component allows us to compare the
participants’ knowledge and awareness before and after each presentation.
Additionally, the cross-sectional study component assesses the extent to which
each topic covered impacts the lives of the participants, and how they are
handling each challenge. The longitudinal study component allows us to
measure the cross-sectional study results over the course of several years,
thus allowing us to identify any increases or decreases in trends regarding the
impact of these issues. The surveys also provide the community at large with
information concerning the reality and prevalence of youth relationship and
identity struggles. Additionally, the surveys provide Relate Right San Antonio
staff with feedback regarding their performance allowing them to improve
tactics utilized to effectively reach the students, teachers, and parents.
Our surveys measure quantitative results through a series of questions that measure the following four components:
Our surveys measure qualitative results through an open ended question exploring each student's perceived experience of the presentation; we call this section "testimonials." The qualitative results, or the testimonials, of the students can be found in the TESTIMONIALS sub tab found under the STUDENT tab up top.
Our hopes are to better understand the students, learn from the feedback they provide, and continue to modify our program in order to become more impactful, empowering, and overall effective; tailoring our presentations to the populations we serve.
Below you will find the quantitative results we have obtained thus far on the following presentations: teen dating violence, self-esteem, and healthy relationships. We are constantly analyzing and updating our numbers as we finish collecting data.

- Knowledge gained after the presentation as perceived by the students.
- Gain in empowerment and feeling better equipped with necessary tools to tackle the issue after the presentation as perceived by the students.
- Awareness of the prevalence of this issue, its consequences, and contributing factors in the lives of the students as perceived by the students themselves.
- Overall effectiveness of each presentation as perceived by the students.
